Who is Jane Dog?
Jane Dog is the sheriff of Hollywoof — law and order with an impressive résumé: former deputy (and, purely coincidentally, daughter) of the previous sheriff, John Dog, former Miss Hollywoof, and graduate of an international police academy. Composed, precise and allergic to grandstanding, she met Puppy Jay’s flashy campaign promises with actual policy and won the election by one electoral vote. As sheriff she keeps an open criminal investigation into her rival — and she has inherited her father’s habit of quoting Wayne Gretzky.
Also mentioned in episode 22.

In their own words

As Wayne Gretzky once said: “I’m sorry.”
As Wayne Gretzky once said… “Maybe it’s time… to stop chasing dreams — and get a real job.”
