Who is John Dog?
John Dog was the town’s sheriff “for a long 57 months — which, in dog years, is basically forever” without a single real crime. Then Puppy Jay’s vacuum rolled out the door. Steady, dignified and quick to declare a state of emergency, he ran the pursuit through press conference after press conference, backing his biggest calls with a Wayne Gretzky quote — and resigned that same evening: the town needed “someone younger, with fresh ideas.” The badge now belongs to his former deputy and, purely coincidentally, his daughter: Sheriff Jane Dog.
Also mentioned in episode 17.
