Who is Bark Grylls?
Bark Grylls is the greatest survivalist in the wild — period — and the former TV star Puppy Jay grew up watching. Hiding out in the woods since the world moved on from TV, he finds the stranded pup after a giant eagle carries off Doxie Din and teaches him the lessons that turn a cardio-hating pup into a rescuer. Gruff and dead serious, he now advises the show from a bunker, a mountainside or southern Chile, and Vicky Licky calls him a lifelong fan of Puppy Jay.
Also mentioned in episodes 2, 19.

In their own words
Bark Grylls. Greatest survivalist in the wild. Period.
Survival’s not about muscle. It’s about mindset.
We Wiener Warriors may live short lives — mostly because we never ask for help.
